Screen clogs up in keggle

what do you do if the false bottem clogs up in kettle how do you go about getting the wort out

is it clogged with hops? If it happens to me - i usually move my immersion chiller around the false bottom to move hops out of the way for wort to flow. if you dont use an immersion chiller, you can sanitize your spoon and move the debris that has clogging the false bottom.

are you sure the spigot isn’t what’s clogged?

it was the screen that i put in the bottem that cloged could i sanitze my hand and arm really good and take out the screen

I wouldnt… I would try to sanitize a clothes hanger and fish it out first. or try with your spoon or other sanitary object. try to get it out without your hands.

if all else fails, you can always poor the wort into the fermenter (but be careful)

i’m having a hard time picturing a clogged false bottom that cant be fixed simply by moving some debris. is it a screen or a false bottom?
