Scaling recipe, maintain grain percentages?

I want to scale Jamil’s Mild recipe down to 5 gallons from 6. When doing so, should I maintain the grain percentages, or just drop some base malt? Not sure what’s standard practice here.

Definitely maintain the percentages otherwise it wont be the same recipe. Either get a program like beer smith or multiply everything by .833333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 or by .83 that will work too.
