Same primary for wine and beer?

Hello, I thought that I would make a wine kit after years of extract brewing.

Can I use the same 7.9 gallon primary fermenting bucket for wine that I have used for beer fermentation? Would I get any off flavors? Sorry for the question on the forum, but I can never find exactly what I need to learn in the search. Thanks

Your primary is fine for wine as well. Usually wine kits make 23l vol instead of 19-20l for beer kits (they are all made in Canada and use CAN 5 gal as a standard volume (23l).

Your 30l fermenter is perfect.

As long as you use standard sanitation practices you would not really run into any cross contamination issues.
