Just thinking out loud… I need something to fill my barrel once the Imperial stout is finished. Maybe swap out 2 lbs of 2 row for rye mat?

1 lbs Munich
10 oz chocolate
8 oz back patent
8 oz English crystal
8 oz CaraPils

Mash at 152
1 hour Boil

.6oz Warrior - 60 minutes
.5 oz Willamette for 15 minutes
.5 oz Willamette for 15 in the whirlpool

Wyeast 1056

35 ish IBUs
35 SRM

Have you tried crystal rye. I been adding some to my stouts and porters. Most the summer I been brewing smaller batches 3 gallon instead of the normal 10 gallon. Working on different recipes to perfect them. Before I do the 10 gallons. The crystal rye stout and porter both turned out great.

Next up on my schedule is a rye porter @ 1.050.
