Reusing yeast

i have saved some yeasts but I can’t figure out if I have enough or not. All i did was drain from fermenter into sterilzed jars, are there any other steps? I just read a post about just pulling that from the fridge, draining the liquid and pitching at temp…almost sounds too easy. Can anyone help me out?

Here is a couple of links to help you out.

http://yeastcalc.com/ Be sure to look at the tabs on the left. http://www.mrmalty.com/yeast-tools.php

The jelly jars I save my rinsed yeast in I have roughly marked in milliliters.
This link is on yeast rinsing. Yeast washing uses acid. Way overboard. I take clean jars and sanitize with Starsan.

This should get you started. Your yeast looks good.

thanks flars. i’ve seen the yeast calc’s before but did not know they did slurry.

so in hopes to inform others (like me) that have no idea it looks like i have plenty enough to do two five gallon medium gravity beers in the fuller of the small jars, one batch in the other plus enough for a 20 gallon MONSTER from the big jar.

thanks again
