Quick Opinion - pitch rate for 2.5 gallon

Doing a simple ale with US04, but making half of a 5 gallon recipe to have 2.5 gallons.
Pitch the whole yeast pack or half?

If it’s not a super high gravity brew you could do half the pack, but you’d need to be very carefull how you store the other half.

I would store the unused portion in the trash can.

Or pitch the whole pack in the beer.

Tnx. Experimenting with a gluten free sorghum/belgian candi sugar recipe that should end at about 5.2 %. I’ll probably pitch most of the yeast.
