Quick extra t flavoring question

So I am about to bottle a holiday witbier with ginger extract thrown in at bottling. My question is how I should go upon doing it…

The extract is sitting in my fridge right now. Should I boil it along with the corn sugar i am going to boil anyways to sanitize it? does this ginger extract need to even be sanitized?

oh, and the extract has been opened.

I wouldn’t boil, I don’t think it would be a source of contamination.
