Got my Nut Brown Ale kit in the mail and was reading through the instructions. It said to refrigerate the yeast as a first step, so I did. The next day I’m reading through the remainder of the instructions and realized it was referring to the optional liquid yeast, I had the dry Nottingham Ale Yeast. Can I still use this yeast?
Of course. You should refrigerate both dry and liquid yeast until you use it.
the fridge is a great place to store dry yeast. I keep some US-05 in there as a back up.
