Priming Sugar

I have supplies for another batch, but I am out of corn sugar for priming my bottles. Is regular cane sugar OK?
Is there any difference in amount that you would use?

All my bottled batches were primed with table sugar. There is a difference in the amount you use.

Go here to calculate: http://www.tastybrew.com/calculators/priming.html

IIRC, corn sugar has 5% more water by weight than cane so you will use a little less cane sugar. But the difference is within the margin of error in the volume of the beer you’re bottling, so it’s not something to worry about too much.

Edit: added “cane sugar” to the end of the first sentence in case the original meaning wasn’t clear.

You would use less cane sugar than corn sugar to achieve the same volume of CO2.

Thanks all!
