I’m getting ready to brew the Plinian Legacy. I know that it is a 6 gallon brew, but I only have a 5 gallon carboy. Will I have an issue with my carboy as long as a use a blow off tube?
6gals won’t fit in a 5gal carboy so you’ll definitely have issues. Do you have any other carboys? You could split it or consider this. It will provide you with the headspace needed.

First time I did this extract, I was able to get all of it into a 5 gallon carboy for secondary only after I had two pints of flat delicious beer. Dry hopping was also an issue in the 5 gallon carboy due to the space requirements. You definitely want a larger vessel.
