Pellet and whole leaf hop substitution

I’m brewing a 2 1/2 gallon blonde ale next week. The recipe calls for 1/2 oz of cascade at 60 minutes and 1/2 an oz of willamette at 5 minutes. If I want to replace with same hop schedule with whole leaf hops, would it still be the same amounts?

If the AA rating is the same, then use the same amounts. If it is different, then calculate the new amount you should use:

Oz whole hops to use =1/2 oz * (pellet AA) / (whole hop AA)

You only need to do the calculation for the 60 minute hops; the 5 minute hops are just there for flavor so there won’t be any discernable difference in the bitterness.
