I have the “luck” of having alot of palisade hops. I nor anyone I know has used these. Beside a single hop brew, anyone have any ideas on a way to use these hops for good?
from what i’ve read it is good in english style pales. has a fruity flavor and aroma without citrus, somewhat earthy or grassy. and that it’s uninteresting on its own. although I’ve never used it
i brewed an all palisade ipa awhile back, floral with a cut grass flavor.if you like this flavor then go for it. the beer was good just different. i like it much better in a blend, in fact dogfish head uses it in their 60 min ipa. cheers.
I used it in a Pumpkin Ale and it was good.
A belgina white maybe if you use them pretty lightly.
Well those sound like good ideas. Guess I’ll give them a shot.
One of my favorite commercial brews, Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse, uses a blend of Palisade and Amarillo for aroma that I particularly like.

I’ve seen a few posts for a blend of amarillo and palisade. I am a fan of killer recipes, particularly ipa’s. I will give that one a go but with probably a bit more late hopping of palisade.
I have done some porters and browns with warrior and pallisades and they are wonderfull.
