Paintball CO2

I have seen some videos on YouTube about using 2 round coolers and cutting one to combine and make a long cooler to hold a keg and the person used a 24oz paintball CO2 canister to keep the pressure and be more portable. I also read not too long ago in a BYO magazine about making your own paintball regulator. I have seen an adaptor that would fit a regular CO2 regulator on a canister as well as another mail order place that makes a regulator specifically to fit a paintball canister. I like the portable idea of the size, but I don’t know if anyone has feedback from either using an adaptor and a standard regulator, versus buying a regulator that is made to work with paintball canisters and has the lower psi capibility or if building one is best.

This is what I have for a portable Koolerator.

60 qt. Igloo Cube Cooler
5 Lb. CO2 Tank & Regulator
3 Gallon Ball Lock Keg
2 - 1.3 Gallon Mini Kegs with DIY Mini Keg Tap
2 - 4" Shanks with Faucets & Tap Handles
Gas & Beverage Lines

I run the adapter and a 20oz paintball tank on my portable setup. Works well, but I plan on switching to a mini reg sometime in the future if I can get a good deal on one.
