Old Yeast Starter

I had a yeast starter in a flask covered in foil in the fridge for about 2 months (under beer). WY1968. Made a porter last night and the starter smelled normal. Pitched around 11pm. Minimal activity by this morning, some bubbles but little to no krausen yet. How long do I wait before pitching fresh yeast? I’ve read lag times could be longer in this case.


Same amount of time as always. :wink:

Happy to report that the yeast was going strong when I got home last night.
