http://www.brewtoad.com/recipes/bucked-up-brown I brewed this. I home roasted the buckwheat 300 degrees for 45 min. The boil had a nice nutty bready aroma. Pray for solid fermentation.
Is the 162* mash water the starting temp before adding the grain? Or the temp held for the hour?

Before. I mashed @ 153. I was a little hot but thank god for ice. It was my first no sparge. Overshot the volume by 3 qts. Adjusted boil time to 80 min. Nailed gravity and volume!
