Non filtered tap water

I usually carbon filter my tap water before brewing to remove chlorine and other stuff also gets filtered out. My water is mildly hard and was wondering if allowing the chlorine to dissapate on it’s own would leave the water good to go for a beer that calls for a small amount of hardness? I’ve not messed with adding a bunch of stuff to soft water to get some hardness into it and don’t really want to start.

You can fill your brew kettle with water and leave it overnight and the chlorine will dissipate or just use a campden tablet.
But the carboy filter only takes out any chlorine and won’t take out the hardness.
