Nibs Comments

I am soaking 3.5 ounces of cocoa nibs in 5 ounces of Stolichnaya Vanilla flavored Vodka. I started soaking the nibs today in a mason jar and was planning to keep them soaking for 6 days before adding it to the secondary fermenter.

I am brewing a milk stout with ingredients purchased from Northern Brewer. The stout should hopefully have flavors of primarily espresso and chocolate. I am not sure if any vanilla flavor will actually be noticeable when added to the beer, but if so I think it will be very light which is what I am going for. The batch size is 4.5 gallons.

Does anyone have experience here with nibs and if so, what are your comments and suggestions for what I am doing?
