Newbie forgot to aerate before yeast - need I panic?

Hi - Just brewed my very first batch - American Rye Ale. First, I added the 2 gals of water “after” I poured the wort in the fermenter, then I forgot to shake it around (aerate) before adding the yeast. Should I shake it around now? Currently, the yeast is just sitting there on top - don’t know if shaking it will make it worst or better.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

It will activate and do it’s job. Likely no worries at all. My first couple batches aeration were just a couple swirls and stir when topping off and it did just fine.

Cool - thanks much Grizz - appreciate it!
