I brewed the ak 47 pale mild on tues evening and forgot to hydrate the yeast.No activity in the air lock, what can I do? Windsor Danstar yeast.
There was a zymurgy study a few years back about the practical effect of rehydrating. Most judges couldn’t tell the difference in the beer (though I’ve heard later that its a good idea). In any event, you should still have plenty of yeast in there. It sounds like you have a leak. Have you checked gravity?
have not checked yet,I did pull the lid off and the ring is there about 2 inches above the wort.I will check the gravity tomorrow, thanks for the reply.
Sounds like it got most of the job done while you weren’t looking. Danstar yeasts are fast fermenters in my experience.
