What are you having trouble with? Just be sure a seal is in place before you connect. They typically come with a plastic washer.
He is referring to this washer you should replace it every time you change tanks or remove the regulator.

If NB is selling them for $.15, they probably cost $.01 when ordered by the 100’s.
Taprite regulators come with a built-in o-ring. A washer is not needed.
OP - to double check this, just look on the regulator in the part that screws onto the tank. If you see a black o-ring, you’re good to go.
