Hi I just purchased the NB 10 Gallon All Grain system and, currently, I am trying to figure out how to set up the false bottom. Are you suppose to cut a few inches off of the clear 3/8" ID high-temp tubing to connect the elbow fitting of the false bottom to the barbed bulkhead (valves)? Or was I suppose to an extra few inches to install the false bottom?

I just snipped a couple inches off of my thermoplastic tubing to connect the false bottom elbow piece to the vavle. Just wanted to wait to make sure before I cut the tubing a bit but everything works well now. I had written that post late last night and I should have just waited to think of ways to solve the issue.

Thanks! i just brewed my first all-grain batch today of the Dry Dock Breakwater Pale Ale. Everything went very well and I hit my targeted OG of 1.049. Looking forward to more all-grain brewing.
