Need a Red

I have a friend who really wants to make a Red, believe it or not he enjoys Killians haha.

I see a lot of Irish Red recipes but they all seem vastly different with no real reviews. Do anyone have a 5g BIAB red they love and want to share?

Thanks

Do a search for Kens Home Run Red. I have it bottle conditioning now and the Gravity sample tasted wonderful. It has a pretty darn red color. I did it Ale (Denny’s 50) but I have seen it done larger too.

I have the lager version in primary right now [d-resting] with all Tettnanger hops and White Labs 830. Smells yummy coming out of the airlock. The recipe is HERE

and you can adjust the hops and yeast to your liking… ale, lager, whatever. Cheers.

I did the red lager as partial mash and it came out really well. Now that I’m doing AG, I can’t wait to do this one again! Ken’s red recipe is great!! You will find plenty of good reviews on it if you do a search on the forums.
