Anyone know the minimum requirements for a foodsafe environment if someone were trying to get a nanobrewery started
LOL, homebrewing is nano-brewing.
Actually, it probably differs from state to state…as well as county to county within a state. Probably best to try to contact some one at the state/count level.

You should be able to find your local requirements on the county health department’s website.
Even city-to-city. Chicago’s got its own rules governing food that are somewhat famously difficult to navigate. Enough so to have once fostered mob-controlled black market in deli products. :shock:

Yeah. I’m just not sure if the mob is still in control of it.
I know in Vermont the brewery cannot be part of a dwelling. It has to be a separate structure. I suspect there is also a waste water / septic regulation to ensure that a home or city septic/sewer can handle the waste water.
