My Rocky Head

Used a starter I made from an old pack of Wyeast 1450 and added it to the 2.5 gallons I had left over from a 25 gal batch. Anybody see this from Denny’s yeast before?

Even this picture doesn’t display how chunky this krausen is.

No never seen that before with1450 but it appears to be hop matter making it “chunky.”

Maybe hops, but the other carboys are fermenting with US-05 and do not display this “chunkiness”. Granted, this was the “dregs” and I’m sure more trub got pumped into this carboy, but looking at it it doesn’t look like hops to me. The hops/trub mixture is layered on the bottom below a layer of yeast that are settling out.
