Using equipment I have at hand, here is what I want to use;
Nebulizer.(basically an over sized aquarium pump that supplies filtered air)
3’ of air line w/ barb to fit nebulizer hose.
6" airstone never used in a fish tank before.
I’m thinking the over sized airstone will cut aeration time.
I think I read about the aquarium stones have a larger opening in them. So the bubbles are not as small as a brewers stone.
It should work just fine.
My father-in-law uses an aquarium pump with no stone. Just puts the hose in the carboy and lets it run for 5-10 minutes.
I am not as “fancy”. I shake the hell out of the carboy for a good 3-5 minutes. I think I actually end up with better aeration than him sometimes!
