I added the 6# of MO lme at flame out instead of 15mins from flame out. think im OK? airlock is bubbling away.
Unless you chilled very quickly, the LME was at >180F for long enough to sanitize it. But bubbling isn’t an indicator of sanitation, just that the yeast is happy with the sugar and the temp, so once fermentation seems complete, I would leave it in the primary at least an extra week and take gravity readings to see if it’s still fermenting slowly, which could be an indication of an infection. Seems really unlikely though.
thanks for the reply, ya I am sure it stayed hot enough to sanitize so if that is my only worry i am more then likely good. it was still boiling for a few mins after I turned off my electric stove.
