Any St Louis, Springfield, Columbia, or Jeff City drinkers should try Public House Brewing in Rolla, if you get a chance. They have great beers (session beers are their specialty), live music sometimes, decent food, and they are great supporters of the local HB club. If you pass thru on I-44 or US-63 make sure you stop in.
Some buddies and I were going to drive down there (from Columbia) a couple of weeks ago. We were lucky enough to meet the owners’ Dad a while back. He’s a real old time homebrewer, so we wanted to see what his boys were brewing. Just before we left, we went on line and were disappointed to find that they aren’t open during the day on weekdays. We hit a local brewpub instead, but we’ll eventually get down there.
