Me waiting for my shipment of dme to come in. So i have enough dme to make 1 or 2 starters. Now question. Can i do use the last Wort in my mashtun to create a starter. Got about. 400 ml left over normally. Once i collected. My 10 gal wort after sparging. Second question. Is it wise to freeze. It. And take it out on the day i create a starter.

Of course you can. I used to freeze containers with second runnings to have for starters

I use DME in the boil when making bagels
Do you boil bagels in a caustic solution like pretzels?
I usually can wort for starters. You can use it right out of the jar because it’s sterile.
No pretzels are boiled in baking soda. Bagels are boiled in sugar water. I substitute DME for the sugar. Other than that and the shape it’s a similar process
