Malt questions. anyone?

Can anyone give me a Brief difference between Caramel and Crystal malt? (seems as if I read crystal is merely English/American terminology for caramel malt (German terminology). But I wanna make sure.

Second question: Difference between kilned and roasted malt?

ok, guys. The reason I asked was I am participating in a BJCP class and have been asked to give a presentation on ‘malt.’ One of the members of the class (a pro-brewer) asked me to find out the difference.

Maybe he was playing mind games

they just wanted to see your face turn red when you found out :wink:
