i have read several posts and get conflicting answers. I would like to know if anyone has proven (or disproven) the theory that soda bottles lose carbonation and/or get oxidized after a year or more in plastic 12 oz soda bottles.
I used soda bottles a fair bit a few years ago, thinking it would be nice to take a 1.5 liter beer on picnics and such. I can say that they don’t loose carbonation, but they do get a bit of an oxidized off flavor if left for long enough. Only noticed it in beers that had been sitting like that for a year or more.
