Sorry I don’t have a picture handy yet. I’ll try to attach one later. I have on my nugget bines a few nice big hop cones (bigger than the rest) that have 6 to 8 leaves coming out from between the bracteoles. What is going on here? I think they’re going to be unusable unless I try to trim the leaves out of the cones. Thanks.
This happens a lot. Your hops are just happy to have so much water and sunlight. You can trim the leaves out but it’s optional. Do you think commercial hop growers trim the leaves out before they sell them? Hell no! Everything will be fine.
