Lager starter

Hi,

I just made a 2 L starter for a 18 L lager.

The starter is done and I have the time to do a second starter, just pour out the beer and add 2 L new wort.

Does this make sense or is it just a waste of time? Will there be a big difference in the cell count?

Not only does it make sense, it’s the right thing to do.

Second starter started. And hopefully there will be a kick ass Bamberg rauchbier brewed on Sunday.
