Lager Starter

When making a starter for a lager, do you create it at lager fermentation temps (50s) or room temperature (mid to upper 60s)?

As long as you’re going to be decanting, the warmer the better.

Warmer may work faster and make more yeast but it does not make for more healthy yeast. Close to fermentation temp is always best.
