I recieved the ‘Amercian Rye Ale’ kit for Xmas which has a description of ‘medium-light body with modest bitterness’. However, after mashing I noticed that the wort is black like a stout, has a bit of a burnt smell and has oak cubes for later addition.
Does anyone know if this is the right kit?
