I personally assume there is no benefit to using brass over galvanized steel fittings on the air lines in a keezer. These aren’t the beer lines so rust/corrosion is not an issue. Anyone have a reason to use one over the other?
I converted a upright freezer for my system about 7 years ago and I used 1/4"x2" black pipe nipples and 1/4" black ball valves with 1/4" brass barbed fittings, and a check valve when I built my co2 header system. The nipples and ball valves are high pressure, a little over kill but they didn’t cost me anything. To date I haven’t a problem with rust or corrosion yet.
