Is my RIS ruined?

This is the first time I’ve tried to make a longer fermenting beer with a RIS in May or June of this year. I transferred it to the secondary after about one month in the primary and noticed a film of residue collecting on the top of the secondary. Should I be concerned about this? I’ve had similar residue when doing Double IPA’s, but I always thought that was because of the dry hopping process.

I’m really going to be ticked off if this beer is ruined. RIS are not cheap even for all grain. Any information would be great…unless it’s ruined.

Thanks

+1 The best tool you have is your own palate and nose.

Sounds like a little spontaneous fermentation started up again. I think it is ok.
