Installing Kettle Insulation

For those of you that have insulated your kettles or mash tun, whether it is gas or electric driven. How did you apply the insulation to the kettle?

Yeah, I’d like to know this too. Are you improving your efficiency for getting to a boil?

I did it with a mashtun that is not fired. I got some closed cell foam gym mat and cut it to fit all around the kettle. It’s held on with aluminum/foil tape. I could cut it off in minutes with no residue if need be. No tape to kettle. Only tape to mat.
