that’s actually too warm. If room temperature is at 68*, then the fermenting beer is probably closer to 75*. You could move it to the basement, but most of the “hotness” that is produced by high fermentation temps occur at the beginning. I would still put it down there. Next batch, I would definitely do in your basement. At a temperature of 62*, I couldn’t think of a better all around ambient temperature for a typical ale.

Hmmm… Ok… the temp stick reading on the side of the fermenter says 68… so I will move it down stairs… Thanks for the input… I hope my brew is going to be ok now(

Woops, my bad. I thought you said that the room temperature was 68-70. I’m sure it will be fine. Basement temps sound better though.
