I May Be a Convert

Well laziness may have made me a convert. I just recently brewed my copper ale and had it sitting in my primary. When it came time to transfer to the secondary carboy I got lazy and decided to leave it in the primary. After 3 weeks in the primary I checked the gravity and it was at 1.010 and went directly to bottling it.
I can say from checking the sample, tasting and aroma was very good. It really cut the time down and I may just have become a convert. It’s been bottled for about 5 days now. Looking forward to finishing this one and having a nice cold one.

Welcome to the dark side. It is nice to be able to pick and chose rather than be dogmatic about practice.

Conical fermenters make this a much less guilty pleasure,

You’d probably have to hold me at gunpoint to get me to use a secondary vessel…even then I’d be considering ways to disarm ya…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Secondaries have their place but not for a basic beer and definitely not for an IPA
