I hate it when they’re sold out everywhere. Makes me feel like pouting. Which I’m doing. Right now.

I know it’s just killing me. I’ve got three great recipes that revolve around them. I can adjust almost any recipe to substitute most any missing hops, but these ones are irreplaceable.
I like me some galaxy too (and amarillo which is also nowhere to found). Had a beer not long ago with mosaic and I thought it was reminiscent of galaxy.
I do have some mosaics left in the fridge from an old IRA I was trying to make… ironically enough I was using them in combination with other hops to recreate the profile of a recipe I used with galaxy hops :lol:
When I e-mailed Hops Direct a month or two ago, they said they expect to get some in June. I’ve been checking nearly every day. So far, no go. Will keep checking and post when I see them.
The southern hemisphere harvest should start trickling in stateside in the next couple of weeks, IME. I think Yakima Valley is expecting Galaxy in soon.

Does anyone know when the New Zealand harvest is exactly? If I can wait for some fresher pellets I’d prefer to do that… but if it’s going to be more than a month I might just go ahead and order these.

Oh I guess you’re right. They should put OUT OF STOCK underneath it like they did with the Amarillo. Oh well…sorry to get your hopes up!
I just bought some Chinook from them the other day since it seems they’re going fast this year also.
I feel your pain. A micro brewery in town makes an all galaxy apa that is one of my favorites which I make sure to get when they have it and I have been dying to brew my own but I always run into the same issue you have.

2013 Galaxy for about $1 per ounce for a limited time. Pellet or leaf. I could have saved $10 if I would have just waited a few weeks.

It says they are sold out, and I would gladly pay $16 a pound plus shipping for Galaxy. Its one of this year’s hot hops. Although I’ve tried El Dorado and it has some of the same characteristics. And I just scored some Mosaic that I’ll use for late additions in an AIPA.
