How to use dual temp controler?

Hello I have a Ranco Dual Temp control that I use on my freezer for fermenting lagers an ales in … Now my ? is how to sat this control so I can ferment to with in a 1F of what i my fermention temp is so for me if I want to ferment at let say 62F in a freezer I know that I set the cooling mode to 62F with one dregree diff so it would turn on when it get above 62 an cool down to 60F an I also know that I will need to have a space heater in there because of the freezer an have the heater plug into the to 2th port on my control an have that sat to what 62 also so if it goes below 62F it will cut on an warm it up to 62 an cut off now should I have the heating mode set at 62 also with a one drgree diff on it … Basic what I am asking is how do i set the control without killing my freezer compresser an controling my fermention temp to with in a 1F ???

Fermentation creates heat, so no need to run a heater unless the ambient temp is several degrees lower than the desired fermentation temp.
