I started 2 batches of apple cider 2 days ago with 2 types of yeast. One is bubbling every 15 seconds. The other is barely bubbling every few minutes. My question is: Is there a way to test yeast to see if it is alive and active?

OK, the last 2 posts didn’t really explain anything. Also, to be clear, the Red Star Pasteur Champagne batch is bubbling every 15 seconds and the Red Star Cote De Blanc batch is bubbling every 2 minutes.
