How many sizes of caps

I have some short bottles I tried, 2 of them along with my regular tall bottles and the caps would not seal .are there different size caps?

No, some of the shorter bottles have a more narrow lip that a wing capper can’t grab to seal the crown. Look at the bottles side by side and you’ll see what I mean. You need a bench capper for this style bottle.

Champagne bottles often have a larger, 29mm cap. But you’d be hard pressed to find a beer bottle that doesn’t take a standard 26mm cap.

Thank you very much! I will take a look at that. I will check into a bench capper. Again Thank you!

It’s a bit of a pain, but if you’re in a bind you can unscrew the bell from your capper and GENTLY tap it onto the cap with a wooden or rubber mallet. I’ve done it with 750’s that didn’t fit in my floor capper. It’s not ideal, but you can certainly seal bottles this way.

Also worth noting, just in case. Don’t use bottles made for twist-off caps.
