How long to age a spiced beer?

I suspect I’m late this time, but next year I’d like to brew Ol’ Yule Loggy from Brewing Classic Styles.

OG says 1.090
FG says 1.022

How long would this really need to age to get the best from it? I don’t see any mention of it in the book.


I’d say 3-6 months but keep in mind that the longer you age it, the more the spices will fade.

If it was me I’d probably try for a bit longer, and fading spices would be an additional benefit (have yet to fine a winter spiced beer that wouldn’t have been better without the spices).
