Hop cones turning brown

I’m in upstate ny and ime hops are not ready to harvest yet. I have some plants in one location that appear to be a complete loss. Most of the cones I thought would be good are browning quick and there are heavy amounts of small hops at the tips of these plants that just turned all brown. I thought my 4 chinook were going to be ok but now it seems to be hitting those. The lupulin is still light yellow on these and they aren’t papery yet. Cascades look good so I’m crossing my fingers. Anyone know what migh be the cause?

Here in MN, the first couple weeks in August were unusually cool & dry, as in down in the 50s overnight. According to the NPR weather guy, the cold weather has hastened the ripening process. Perhaps you have had similar weather?
