Honey sludge during fermentation

Hi all,

I recently finished a Blue Moon clone where I used 3 lbs of honey in the recipe. The beer is quite good already but I lost a lot of it during both the primary and secondary fermentation due to an abnormally high amount of sludge.

I’m assuming this came from the honey but if that’s the case, how do I prevent this in the future?

I added the honey during the last 10 minutes of the boil, but as soon as I added it, the wort actually stopped boiling. I’m wondering if it didn’t dissolve completely? Or should I add more sterilized water at some point to account for the lose?

Thanks.
