just sayin’. tight knit crew here i see
I don’t think you have mentioned that before but keep it coming! We all like hearing about how great we are
When I first got into homebrewing I surfed through quite a few of the online forums, but finally whittled it down to here and the AHA forums when I decided to pick a couple of spots to call home. The signal to noise ratio is good here, and the regular crew is both helpful and non-judgemental.
+1 to all of this.
I have to agree…we are all great!
When I first started (1999), the forums were new or not quite around yet. If I ordered a kit and had a question, I would call the place where I got the kit. The forums are such a great resource for all of us. We’re all at different points in our brewing but I love it that when you get to one intersection or another, someone has already been there. Homebrewers seem to have an unselfishness about sharing their knowledge which is great for all of us. Find the people whose advice you trust and you’ll have a pseudo brew partner every time you make a batch. Cheers Beerheads.
This place has been a huge help in my first year of brewing!
I go to other forums and it’s way more difficult to filter out the bad info from the good. It seems people here are more of the same mind-set, or less argumentative about their opinion being the only correct answer. Plus on many other forums people link to discussions here.

no, I don’t remember you mentioning it.
Now that you mention that Ken I love your Homerun Red combo of C-120 and Special B. Lifted that idea from you about a year ago and have been using it for a Red Rye Ale that I have become rather fond of. Don’t know if I’ve mentioned that so thanks!
