I haven’t used WLP001 in a while and in my current setup I am fermenting without a lot of headspace in my carboy. Wow does 001 puke some krausen! I’m wondering what kind of success I might have blowing some of that yeast off into a sanitized jar as a way of harvesting.
Anyone else do this enough to report on results on anywhere from a one off to multiple generations with this or any other top cropping strain?

BYO mag. has an article and plans for harvesting from active fermentation.
I haven’t personally done it though.
