Growing hops in SoCal

How easy is it? It’s typically really warm here even in springtime. And this year like last has been very dry.

I want to buy some rhizomes but I want to make sure I have all my bases covered first.

Is it still early enough to plant them?

I am not familiar with growing hops in SoCal. If you don’t get other replies here you may be able to contact this group and see if anyone there is growing hops.

I used to work for a company that had an office out in the inland empire and someone’s husband is a member of this club. He helped me tweak a recipe for an IPA I was trying to formulate.

They’ll love the sun, just be sure to give them plenty water.

Thanks, I’m a member of that brew-club actually, how funny. And I’ll bring it up at the next meeting on Sunday,
