I’ve brewed the Grapefruit Pulpin extract kit per the instructions. All hop additions went in on time…dry-hopped and added the reconstituted grapefruit peel 7 days before bottling. Bottles conditioned for just under 2 weeks. Just opened the first bottle and there’s very little hop aroma. Some citrus from the peel. Has anyone else experienced this with this kit? Looking back at my notes, when I bottled the grapefruit/citrus hop aroma seemed to be more pronounced. Is there anything that could have muted the hop aromas?
So, it was in the fridge, then taken out, poured? when you try again, let it warm up some, the cold will hold aromas hostage. Sneezles61
It was cold. I’m hoping this is just a case of my preconceived expectations. I need to get a can of the original and do a side-by-side.
